A press conference was organized on 23rd March in which the importance of herbal eye drops was discussed and how these drops have been beneficial in curing or improving so many eye problems. Basu Eye Hospital, Dr. Mahendra Singh Basu were present there along with other experts who were also virtually connected like Prof. Yamini Bhushan Tripathi, Head of Faculty, Faculty of Ayurveda, Banaras Hindu University. This research was also published in the International Journal of Pharmaceutical Science and Research. Dr. Basu said in the press conference that these eye drops are really effective and have also shown positive results in patients. These drops have been used by lakhs of Indians and are also available in the market for use. To see its effects, a study was also done by the doctor, whose results are being shared with you.
In his study, 308 cataract patients were included. This study was done between 2017 and 19. The results of this study were found to be very positive and a lot of improvement was also seen in UDVA and UNVA.
Study Conclusion
Patients used herbal eye drops for 3 months and after that their vision improved. The doctor says that there has been a lot of improvement in the near and far vision of the patients. All these patients used to wear glasses before using eye drops, but after 3 months they started seeing without glasses. These results were seen in about 91 percent of the two groups. About 47 percent of the patients in the third group saw improvement in glaucoma. In the fourth group, 61 percent of patients regained some degree of their sight.
Dr. Basu says no pressure of side effects
When asked about the efficacy and side effects of the eye drops, the doctor said that the eye drops are clinically tried and tested and do not have any side effects. So patients also need not worry.
The doctor also says that these drops can be used even without asking the doctor and you will not see any side effects, so there is no need to worry. According to the doctor, this drop can be used by people suffering from many eye problems such as cataract, eye glaucoma, itchy eyes, eye allergies, eye pain due to excessive mobile or screen time. It helps in giving good results. It can be used for regular eye and complicated eye problems.
