Cancer immunotherapy comprises a number of current and promising therapeutic approaches intended to eradicate tumors by activating host antitumor immunity [1,2]. FDA approval of immune checkpoint blocking (ICBs) therapies and chimeric antigen receptor (CAR)-engineered T-cell immunotherapies has significantly improved cancer treatment, but they are not effective in all cancer patients.
