Pneumonia, to put it most simply, is an infection of the lungs brought on by inflammation of the air sacs, or technically, alveoli. Coughing, fever, and chills are among the symptoms of those alveoli filling with fluid or pus. A lung infection known as multifocal pneumonia develops in multiple locations inside one or both lungs. Viruses commonly cause it, though bacteria, fungi, and viruses can also cause it. Furthermore, multifocal pneumonia typically has more muscular symptoms than other types of pneumonia. Diagnosis Of Multifocal Pneumonia The lobes that make up your lungs are like little balloons filled with tissue that resembles sponges. There are three lobes in the right lung and two in the left lung. The extent of lung involvement further limits the diagnosis of multifocal pneumonia.
