Delhi Government Issued Advisory Regarding Influenza H3N2

The cases of influenza H3N2 virus are increasing continuously. In some states of the country, a continuous increase is being seen in its cases. Many people are getting admitted in the hospital because of this virus. In view of these increasing cases, the Delhi government has issued an advisory. In the ongoing advisory, the government has appealed to the people to take precautionary measures, such as wearing a mask while going out, avoiding crowded areas, washing hands thoroughly, following the instructions given by the doctor, etc. Along with this, an appeal has also been made to spread awareness about the virus among the people. Flu cases are increasing continuously in Delhi Delhi Health Minister Saurabh Bhardwaj while addressing the reporters in a conference said that the Delhi government has issued a directive to check influenza cases in every hospital. He said that those who have already had asthma or other respiratory disease , they have been at the highest risk of influenza. Apart from this, people over the age of 65 and children under the age of 5 are also at high risk of influenza. In such a situation, these people need to be very careful. The Health Minister said that 20 cases are being received daily in Delhi's Lok Nayak Hospital. At the same time, 7 to 8 cases are coming daily in other hospitals. In such a situation, it is a matter of great concern. According to the Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR), the reason for the increase in influenza cases is Influenza A subtype H3N2. What is H3N2 virus? Another name for H3N2 virus is Hong Kong flu. It is a sub-type variant of the Influenza A virus. Patients who get infected with this virus feel difficulty in breathing as well as cough, cold, vomiting, headache. Recently, the Standing Committee of the Indian Medical Association said in a statement that air pollution can also be the reason for the rapid increase in infection. Along with this, due to change in weather, an increase in cases of infection has also been seen. Due to the changing weather, the risk of infection increases rapidly.
