Covid News-India adds 1,604 Covid-19 cases, active caseloads fall by 485

The active cases comprise 0.04 percent of the total infections, while the national Covid-19 recovery rate was recorded at 98.77 percent.Active Covid-19 caseloads fell by 485 in a span of 24 hours.Daily positivity rate stood at 1.02 percent, and the weekly positivity rate was at 1.08 per cent.Case fatalitity rate was at 1.18 percent, while the number of people who have recuperated from the disease rose to 4,41,04,933. It went past 60 lakh on September 28, 70 lakh on October 11, crossed 80 lakh on October 29, 90 lakh on November 20 and surpassed the one-crore mark on December 19.The country crossed the grim milestone of two crore on May 4 and three crore on June 23 last year. It crossed the four-crore mark on January 25 this year. According to ministry data, 219.63 crore doses of vaccines have been administered in the country so far under the Covid-19 vaccination drive. India's coronavirus caseloads rose by 1,604 in the last 24 hours to take the total tally to 4,46,52,266, while the active cases fell to 18,317, the Union Health Ministry said. With eight more fatalities, the death toll has climbed to 5,29,016, the data updated by the government at 8 am said.The new fatalities include three deaths reconciled by Kerala.
