The city saw 112 cases last week with a test positivity rate of 1.75 per cent while on Saturday, the number of cases was 130, with a positivity rate of 1.84 per cent. Experts have expressed concerns over the rate of transmission of the new variant, which initial signs have shown can make its way beyond the layer of vaccine immunity.
