Booster Dose: Now those above 18 years will also get booster dose for free, campaign will start from July 15

This decision of the government has come at a time when the infection of the new sub-variant of Omicron is spreading rapidly in the country. Union Government Minister Anurag Thakur while addressing a press conference said that the country is celebrating 75 years of independence. In such a situation, the nectar festival of independence is going on all over the country. On this occasion, the government will give free booster dose of corona virus vaccine to people of 18 years and above for 75 days. This step will be very important to deal with corona infection. Booster Dose Free For 75 Days in India This gift has been given by the Central Government to people of 18 years and above on the occasion of Amrit Mahotsav of Independence. This was announced by the central government on 13 July. Now from 15th July to next 75 days continuous booster dose will be given free of cost across the country. According to the information, till now there are 77 crore eligible people in the country between the age group of 18 years to 59 years, who can be given a booster dose of corona . But the worrying thing is that less than one percent of these people have got a booster dose. In such a situation, the government has decided to introduce booster dose free of cost for 75 days from July 15. Booster dose will be installed at all government vaccination centers Giving this information during the press conference, Union Minister Anurag Thakur said that booster dose of corona vaccine will be available free of cost from July 15 at all government centers run by the government. He said that according to the current situation, people should definitely get a booster dose. Now all eligible people above 18 years of age will be given free booster doses at government hospitals and health centers. Let us tell you that earlier in the country, booster doses of corona vaccine were being administered free of cost to the elderly above 60 years of age along with health and frontline workers. Apart from this, in the capital Delhi, the government had already made the booster dose free for everyone. The booster dose of the corona vaccine is the third dose of the vaccine. It is also known as precautionary dose. Health experts believe that after 6 months of getting the vaccine , antibodies start decreasing in the body, so a booster dose must be taken. Applying a booster dose also provides protection from infection of the new variant coming in front of the corona.
