Another new threat emerging like Kovid-19, Khosta-2 virus found in bats, know how dangerous it is?

The threat of corona infection continues continuously around the world. Even after all kinds of vaccines and preventive measures, till now experts have not been able to come to the conclusion that when will this epidemic end? In a recent report amid the threat of Kovid-19, researchers have alerted about another deadly infection like this. Researchers have identified a new virus called Khosta-2 in Russian bats, which is seen to be similar in nature to the SARS-CoV-2 virus. Based on preliminary research, scientists have found that it can also easily enter human cells and increase the risk of infection.According to a report in the journal Plos Pathogens , another name for Khosta-2 is Sarbeco-virus. This virus can cause infection by evading immunity to Kovid-19 vaccines. A team of other scientists led by lead scientist Michael Letko has identified a group of coronaviruses similar to the SARS-CoV-2 virus from bats in Russia in 2020. In this, two new types of pathogens have been found, Khosta-1 and Khosta-1. It is being claimed about Khosta-1 that it cannot easily enter human cells, but Khosta-2 can not only enter, but can also cause serious infection. Corona virus meets the nature of Khosta-2 The team of researchers found that the nature of Khosta-2 and corona virus is almost the same. Khosta-2 also targets the same ACE2 respirators that the coronavirus has been using to enter human cells. In addition, when scientists tried to know the effect of Kovid-19 vaccines on Khosta-2, it was found that it can neutralize it. Scientists say this could be a potential threat, which is being studied. Vaccine resistance is Khosta-2 Michael Letko, the lead scientist of the research, says, based on the results of the studies so far, we do not want to scare anyone, but at the moment it has been found that Khosta-2 is vaccine resistance. That is, vaccination done to prevent corona infection is insufficient to protect against it. However, it is also worth noting that there are many viruses already circulating in nature that have these properties, they can bind to human receptors and current vaccines are not able to neutralize them. We are in the early stages of understanding this virus, further studies are being done to know about it in more detail. Know about Khosta-2 virus According to the information shared by the researchers, along with the coronavirus, another member of the same family, Khosta-2, has also been seen. Studies are ongoing to understand whether there may be sources of transmission from animals to humans through several means. This COVID-19 vaccine is resistant, which means that the available COVID-19 vaccines may not provide protection against Khosta-2 virus. Its nature and infectivity are very similar to the SARS-CoV-2 virus, the special thing is that the source of both viruses is bats. Know these things also Khosta-1 and Khosta-2 viruses were discovered in Russian bats in late 2020. Researchers say that although both viruses initially do not seem dangerous to humans. There is less risk to humans than Khosta-1, but the nature of Khosta-2 is a bit troubling. Scientists have feared that Khosta-2 may also have a risk of recombination with viruses like SARS-CoV-2.
