Thin people 96 percent of their time did not do any activity or did light physical activity. But those normal people whose BMI was more than 21.5 and less than 25. Researchers have found that the reason for the thinness of people who are thin is because of their less food. That is, they consume less calories, so they are thin.
The researchers suggest that the lean people involved in the research ate an average of 12 percent less than people of normal weight. But those people burned calories even while sitting. The reason for this is that their metabolism is faster than normal people. In fact, their metabolism was 22 percent higher than expected based on their body fat levels. Excess metabolism was associated with higher levels of thyroid hormone, which makes people feel less hungry and keeps them slim.
