For a long time, there has been a belief that people who are thin have more physical activity or walk more. So they can eat anything. But a recent study has proved this to be wrong. Researchers found that lean people do not exercise more than other people, but eat less. Their weight remains low only because of eating less. 150 very thin people were involved in this research. Scientists concluded this from the study and proved this fact factually correct. What does this study say?
What was found in the study Professor John Speakman, who led the research by the University of Aberdeen, said, "The results of this study are really shocking. Often when people talk to lean people, they tell them they can eat whatever they want. But our study shows that thin people are not due to more physical activity but because of eating less. What they eat is much lower than people in the normal body mass index (BMI) category."  Thin people 96 percent of their time did not do any activity or did light physical activity. But those normal people whose BMI was more than 21.5 and less than 25. Researchers have found that the reason for the thinness of people who are thin is because of their less food. That is, they consume less calories, so they are thin.  The researchers suggest that the lean people involved in the research ate an average of 12 percent less than people of normal weight. But those people burned calories even while sitting. The reason for this is that their metabolism is faster than normal people. In fact, their metabolism was 22 percent higher than expected based on their body fat levels. Excess metabolism was associated with higher levels of thyroid hormone, which makes people feel less hungry and keeps them slim.  Thin people have a higher metabolism  Researchers are now trying to find out whether naturally thin people have a higher metabolism? Thyroid hormones get a boost because of their gene? Which stops the weight gain of thin people. The evidence so far shows that about 1.7 percent of people are underweight. Some of these may have an eating disorder or some people will be thin due to some disease.  Recent studies have shown only Chinese people. The results suggest that people who are naturally lean don't exercise as much on the basis of their low body weight and eat less because the people in the study tended to have lower bad cholesterol than people of normal weight. How many calories should be taken every day? Normal adult women should consume 2,000 calories a day and men 2,500 calories. It also depends on the amount of energy that is required to perform various functions of the body, to walk and function throughout the day.
