Normal blood pressure is up to 120/80 mmHg. A blood pressure between 120 to 140 systolic and 80 to 90 diastolic is considered pre-hypertension and higher than 140/90 is considered high blood pressure. Its range varies according to age. Men are three percent more likely to have high blood pressure than women. Recently an expert has told that drinking water can also reduce high blood pressure. 
High blood pressure means that your heart pumps blood around the body with more force than it should. This high pressure of blood puts extra pressure on many parts of the body, including the heart, brain, kidneys and eyes, to pass through the blood vessels.
