A 35-year-old married woman was allegedly gang-raped by two accused in a village in Dausa district of Rajasthan. After this the accused murdered the woman. The dead body was thrown in the well after killing it. When the woman did not reach home, her missing case was registered. After this the police recovered the body of the woman. The case is being investigated.
The police said that the body of the woman was found on Monday in a well in Bassi police station area of Jaipur district. Police said that a suspect has been arrested in connection with the gangrape and murder of the woman. The woman had left Jaipur on Sunday morning to go to her parents' house in Dausa by bus. Dausa Superintendent of Police Rajkumar Gupta said that she reached the bus stand of her village in Dausa and was on her way to her parents' house. At the same time, the accused asked him to give a lift from their vehicle. The SP told that on the pretext of giving a lift, the accused took the woman to the forest area instead of taking her to the village and gang-raped her. After the gangrape, the accused killed the woman and dumped her body in a well. Meanwhile, when the victim did not reach home, her parents odged a missing complaint at the Ramgarh Pachwara police station in Dausa on Sunday evening. The body of the woman was recovered by the police in the early hours of Monday. The SP said that an accused named Kaluram Meena has been arrested. Efforts are on to arrest the other accused. Preliminary investigation reveals that the woman did not know the accused. The body was handed over to the family members after the postmortem.
